12th SDEWES conference held 4-8 October 2017 in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik, Croatia is now behind us. It has brought together 530 scientists, researchers, and experts in the field of sustainable development from around 60 countries. We have listened to 450 presentations, seen 100 poster presentations, attended 12 special sessions and 2 special events, and also had the pleasure of listening to 4 invited lectures and 2 panels with some of the most distinguished experts in the field.

The next SDEWES Conference will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 28-31 January 2018, which will be the 1st edition of the Latin American SDEWES series www.rio2018.sdewes.org
